Climate protection and CO₂ reduction

We systematically record and reduce our emissions from Scope 1 to Scope 3. By January 2025, all our German sites will have switched to green electricity. The switch will be completed internationally by the end of 2026.

The first solar power system installed at the Burgbernheim site has a capacity of 659 kWp. In 2023, it generated 379.5 MWh of electricity, 319.4 MWh of which was used internally. Further systems are in the planning stage. The projected CO₂ savings for 2025 exceed 700 tonnes. This represents over 80% of Scope 2 emissions

Environmentally friendly manufacturing

• No hexavalent chromium is used in galvanisation
• Use of increased coating thicknesses for high corrosion resistance
• Reduction of environmentally harmful substances through resistance welding
• Minimisation of waste and residual materials through optimised manufacturing processes
• No CFCs used in products requiring propellant gas
• Pre-assembly of components to reduce waste and packaging

Resource conservation in application

We advise our customers on product selection to ensure optimised quantities. This saves material, shortens assembly times and reduces costs.

We actively support the implementation of environmentally friendly technologies with our products for solar parks and water treatment plants.

In 2023, we saved almost 400 tonnes of primary resources and over 30 tonnes of greenhouse gases through recycling.

Energy efficiency

We record and optimise energy consumption across the group. As well as switching to green electricity and expanding our own solar energy production, we have set clear goals to improve energy efficiency at all our locations.

Packaging and recycling

• Intelligent packaging design and modern packaging machinery
• Reduction and separation of films and filling materials by type
• Cooperation with Interseroh as a certified recycling partner
• Free return and material recycling in accordance with the Packaging Ordinance
• Annual certification of the recycling system

Water management

Our electroplating plant operates with a closed wastewater cycle. This system treats around 3,500 m³ of water each year without drawing from the natural water cycle. The plant is regularly inspected by external bodies and monitored by the authorities.
